Our wines are lovingly made from grapes grown here at SouthEnd Farm , and at our growers, Sleeping Cougar Acres, in the Comox Valley.

We keep our winery small and local, in accordance with our principles. We use a minimal amount of sulphites and additives, and our vineyard is grown as organically as we can for the health of the vines, the animals and ourselves.

White

2024 VIRGA  Estate grown, this dry wine varietal is half Siegerrebe and half Petit Milo. A perfect summer patio wine, it’s floral and smooth to the taste.

AFTERNOON TEA  This is a off-dry (read sweet) white wine infused with Campbell River’s Stonehouse Tea’s Campbell River Blend. Floral and way too easy to drink  750 ml bottle

Rosé

2023 BARA We added whole clusters of Leon Millot and Marechal Foch (red vinifera hybrids) to the must of Petit Milo, a white vinifera hybrid grape. We let them hang out for a day and then pressed the whole thing. Dry, fruity, great with food

  • Co-ferment of Petit milo partially fermented juice on skins of Leon millot, then pressed off to finish fermenting in steel tanks
  • Fined with bentonite prior to bottling

  • pH 3.44 TA 5.6 g/l RS 1.1 g/l
  • Sulphites added at bottling at 30 ppm

 

2024 BARA-ISH We added whole clusters of Leon Millot and Marechal Foch (red vinifera hybrids) to the must of Petit Milo, a white vinifera hybrid grape. We let them hang out for a couple of days and then pressed the whole thing, then we added blended some 2024 piquette and let ‘er rip.   Dry, savoury, an interesting food wine.

Red 

2023 Island Red  The grapes were crushed and destemmed into our open fermenting bins (read cleaned picking bins), inoculated with yeast and then fermented for about 14 days. We punched down twice, sometimes 3 times a day (when I was on top of things)  and then pressed, into steel tanks to finish the fermentation. Once fermentation is almost done we transfer into our American oak barrels to age for 12 months.

2023 Ancestrale 

11% Cloudy and fruity and delicious.

This sparkling wine that has NO preservatives, fermented in bottle and sediment on the bottom.

  • Petit milo fermented in steel tanks until about 3 brix then bottled to finish fermenting.
  • Bottled unfiltered and unfined
  • pH 3.05 TA 8.0 g/l RS 1.2 g/l

2022 Piquette 

5.8%

This is a low alcohol wine made from the pressings of our red and water.

A little fizzy, like a sour beer / cider /wine mash up. Perfect for sunny days. 

Bottled unfiltered and unfined, this is naturally made so there is sediment in the bottle and no sulphites.

2020 Jimmy K

10.6%  Bubbly!!! Need we say more?  In a half size bottle for more fun!

22.1%  Our version of a port, we forgot about the barrel for a few years and were pleasantly surprised.

Delivery

Delivery is available to Quadra Island, Campbell River and the Comox Valley for a flat fee of $15, with a 4 bottle minimum please. Delivery date will be determined at time of ordering.

Shipping within BC

We ship within British Columbia only via Canada Post, with a 6 bottle minimum. We will provide a shipping quote when placing your order. Sorry, delivery unavailable to the rest of Canada.
